Can't instantiate class Syn.Speech.Recognizers.Recognizer

Wed Jan 25, 2017 5:19 pm

I loaded the solution Syn.Speech.Demo thinking it would just work when I built it (i.e. the way a demo is supposed to work). Instead, it throws the error,
"Syn.Speech.Util.Props.InternalConfigurationException: Can't instantiate class Syn.Speech.Recognizers.Recognizer"
at the line,
_recognizer = new StreamSpeechRecognizer(configuration);

There is a thread from April 2015 which ends with the assertion that this issue has been fixed. It obviously hasn't, and I don't know where to go next.

Any advice, please?

(Nb. Using Visual Studio Community Edition 2015 with latest Syn package (Syn.Speech v1.0.3).

I neither belong to Syn nor have anything to do with Syn.Speech but after reading your post, I had to try it on my own.

Here's the result

I guess for me the demo is working the way a demo is supposed to work.

Thanks for the advice. You got me thinking that there must be something wrong with my environment, and then I found that there was no 'Model' subfolder in \bin\Debug, so I copied it from \bin\Release and the demo now works.
