Failed to Load German Language Model

Thu Aug 17, 2017 8:38 pm

Hello dear SYN-Team,

i would like to use your lib in a private project. Currently i am struggling with importing the acoustic model into the project. Everything works fine if i try to load your (the english) language model.

I got the model-data from: ... ls/German/

Is it possible for you guys to create a simple project with the language model from this site?
Something seems to be wrong with the dictionary file (does it need some kind of conversion?)

I converted the language-model file (*.lm) with the lm_convert tool from the sphinxbase project to the same format as in the demo (*.dmp)
Needless to say, that it still wont work. The error message says:

Error StreamSpeachRecognizer: System.NullReferenceException:
on Syn.Speech.Linguist.Dictionary.TextDictionary.Allocate()
on Syn.Speech.Linguist.Language.Grammar.Grammar.Allocate()

Best regards

Hey Michael

Welcome to the forum. I am really sorry to say that Syn team is no longer working on Syn Speech and the library is considered as a legacy implementation. We are currently discussing its future and are planning to migrate it to community projects.

The only clue I have is that being an implementation release in 2015 all models released by CMU at the time must stay valid for Syn Speech as well.
Currently we are currently less active in this Forum for the month. If you have a technical question, please make a post on StackOverflow instead and ensure your post title specifies a product name (Oscova, Syn Bot, VA Framework, Oryzer, SIML etc)
