_wordNetEngine.GetSentenceSimilarity() getting hang

Fri Apr 12, 2019 4:17 pm

I'm using Syn WordNet library in .NET for semantic analysis.Below is my code to get the semantic rating between two sentences :

double rating = _wordNetEngine.GetSentenceSimilarity(input1, input2);
//input1 and input2 are string

The method works fine for most of the inputs , but whenever input1i or input2 contains the word 'object' , the method is getting hanged. Please suggest how to overcome this issue.

So you mean if you have the word "object" in input 1 or 2, the framework hangs? does it take long or just freeze. We will look into it as WordNet support is offered as in-built feature in some of our other frameworks.

Thanks for the quick response.

I have tested it with
input1 ="object reference not set";
input2="reference issue";

And received a response after 5 minute and 34 seconds. Is there anything possible to boost this performance.
This is specifically happening for the word 'object'

We'll have a look at it....if a word is causing sum delay it may be something internal.
