Error adding JavaScript with the '<' character

Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:04 am

Hi,

I am currently using Studio Version 2.01 beta, Framework version 2.5.7.0

I am adding a Java Script for loop with the test j < N
When I save I get the error:
OOPS Cannot begin with the ' ' character, hexadecimal value 0x20. Line 44, Position 24.. Do you wish to know more?

I believe it is because the '<' character conflicts with the SIML <> markups during parsing?
Wondering how to overcome this?

The function I am testing is below:

<Script Type="javascript">
function Test(Income) {
var j;
var k;
var i = 0.05;
var N = 10;
for (j = 0; j < N; j++) {
k = (Income) * (1 + i);
}
return k;
}
</Script>

For others with similar problems - you can use character entities like &gt; and &lt;
